FESTIVAL CONTINUES TO SHARE THE HERITAGE
Provincetown Portuguese Festival Celebration 2026

June 26th - June 28th, 2026

The details are all but set as we get ready to celebrate the 30th Annual Portuguese Festival and the 79th Blessing of the Fleet in Provincetown!

It’s a tradition rich in culture, community and celebration with a full schedule of activities that has something for everyone. We’ll honor our proud Portuguese heritage and fishing history, culminating in the Fishermen’s Mass and Blessing of the Fleet on Sunday. You can also expect all the music, dancing, and incredible food that make the Festival legendary—plus there’s always something new and interesting to enjoy!

The festivities begin on Sunday, May 31st with the Meet The Artist event at the Harbor Hotel. 2026 Festival Painting Artist Bill Fitts will greet guests, there’s lite bites from Angel Foods of Provincetown, a raffle and a cash bar, plus live music by Rob Scott.

On Wednesday, June 24th join us for a new Festival event with the Truro Historical Society at the the Highland House Museum in North Truro. The special presentation of “Provincetown & Truro in Pictures” is full of local history and fun!

Then Festival Weekend officially kicks off with two special events: The Mermaid Oyster Tour and the Flag Raising Ceremony. The free tour and talk about Oyster Farming leaves from Pilgrim’s First Landing Park in Provincetown. Later that evening, high above Provincetown at the Pilgrim Monument & Museum, join us for the raising of the Portuguese flag. Refreshments will be available.

As you can see, all Festival long there’s so much to enjoy from Homecoming Under The Tent on Friday to lots of live music and dancing in Portuguese Square. Everyone loves the delicious bites from the Lion’s Club Food Tent and the Knights of Columbus Soup Tasting. Don’t forget Tasca on Sunday of the Blessing courtesy of the Squealing Pig. This year we welcome WCOD FM-106 for a live broadcast from Portuguese Square!

Kids can’t miss the Fishing Derby at MacMillan Pier and there's fun for the whole family with Field Games & Cookout at the Veteran’s Memorial Community Center. In Portuguese Square on Ryder Street you can pick up a handcrafted treasure at the Artisan Crafts Fair or enjoy captivating stories and demonstrations from local fishermen and more.

Don’t forget the Prose & Poetry reading in the Cabaret Room at the Crown & Anchor, the Fado Concert at Town Hall or the Samba drummers and dancers in Portuguese Square. The final day honors the fishing fleet with the Fishermen’s Mass at St. Peter’s church, followed by the 78th Blessing of the Fleet at MacMillan Pier.
